JAMIE FERNANDEZ | EDUCATION CHAIR

Jamie Winderbaum Fernandez,  MD grew up in Rockland County, New York.  She received her undergraduate education at Emory University, graduating summa cum laude in Biology.  She attended Cornell University Medical College and completed a residency in adult psychiatry at Stanford University Medical Center.  Dr. Fernandez joined the University of South Florida (USF), Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences in 2008 and is currently an Associate Professor.  Currently, she is the Medical Director and Chief of Psychiatric Services at Memorial Hospital of Tampa where she treats psychiatric inpatients.  Dr. Fernandez' clinical interests relate to treatment resistant depression, mood disorders during pregnancy and postpartum, and neurocognitive disorders.  In addition to her role at Rodeph Sholom, Dr. Fernandez serves on the Board of Trustees for the Tampa Museum of Art and is the President of the Tampa Bay Foundation for Mental Health.
