What is a Leagram?

Have you ever wondered what those lists are that come in the mail on different color paper every other month? Some of you already do know what they are, but for those of you who don’t know, let us explain…. Sisterhood, as part of our yearly fund raising campaign, provides a means for each member of the congregation to purchase either a Happy Birthday wish or a Happy Anniversary wish for any person appearing on that month’s list. A wish costs only one dollar and you may buy one wish or many wishes. Simply circle the name(s) of the people to whom you would like to send a wish, return the list with a check made out to Rodeph Sholom Sisterhood for the amount of your wishes and mail, (to cover increasing postal fees, we only  add one dollar per monthly order). Sisterhood then takes care of the rest. Where else can you send a Happy wish to someone for only a dollar? In the future, we will be making this process available through our web site so keep your eyes peeled for the big announcement. All of the money raised through the purchase of a Leagram is used by Sisterhood for the good of our congregation. Proceeds go toward such things as aiding the Religious School and Hebrew School, Camp Ramah and other educational camperhips and scholarships, Shabbat kiddushes, Aged to Perfection events and many more. For those of you who have been recipients of a Leagram, you know how thoughtful it is to receive one! Why not become a sender as well, and bring smiles to your friends and family members on their special day.
